Imperial Clinical Research Services has received a Silver sustainability rating from EcoVadis, the corporate social responsibility and sustainable procurement rating organization.
“Like many companies worldwide, Imperial’s social initiatives began over 20 years ago with simple programs like office paper recycling and area environmental cleanups,” said Scott Scheidel, Imperial director of compliance and data protection officer. “Over the years, Imperial’s responsibility to our employees, clients, and owners has evolved into a much broader scope of initiatives. Business decisions and individual programs are driven by our responsibility to each other and to the planet,” Scheidel said.
Paris-based EcoVadis, a global network of 65,000 rated companies, provides business sustainability ratings based on corporate social responsibility (CSR). CSR contains four pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
“At Imperial, we are reaching beyond the solid results in the vital CSR role of our business,” said Imperial president Steve Swanson. “We are continuing to move through our supply chain, encouraging our vendors to evidence their programs and outcomes,” Swanson said.
