GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, February 5, 2024 — Imperial Clinical Research Services has earned a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, the international business sustainability ratings company. This evaluation places Imperial in the top 35 percent of companies globally.

"A sustainability mindset has existed at Imperial for a very long time, and in recent years, we worked hard to formalize policies and procedures," said Dan McDonald, Imperial vice president of business development and marketing. "Our expanding sustainability efforts support our company values and also strive to meet the growing expectations of the pharmaceutical and biotech companies and partners we support."

EcoVadis evaluates companies on 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

The ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement. More than 85,000 companies globally have been rated by EcoVadis.

"Being transparent about Imperial's sustainability efforts is something we believe in as a responsible corporate citizen,"  McDonald said. “We are proud of how far we have come, and we always strive to do more."
